Tommy Lee Jones may believe that Chewing Gum is the most significant factor in the decline of Western Civilization, but I'm not there, yet. I'm just interested in the principle of chewing gum - a bit of flavor to start off with, followed by meaningless activity without a purpose (I'm talking only about gum chewing, though I can see how this can easily be taken out of context to mean, say, sky diving?). Anyway, if you believe in the benefits of chewing gum, then I can't (& I guess nobody can) help you. Ultimately those who go for the flavor end up sticking it under a bar stool or a bench. And if you find a gum on your shoe, don't waste your breath shouting, or scattering people with your Ballet / Kung-Fu skills. Just keep sticky walking.
